Biography

I am Dawn Husemann, the County councillor for Claverley and Worfield, elected in May 2025.

Prior to 2024 I had never been actively involved in politics.  My background is in business, finance and marketing. After a number of years in the private sector I chose to take these skills into the world of adult education, training and development working mainly with post graduate professionals moving from academia into the world of business.  My professional experience is mostly in the SME sector in a range of different fields and included family owned businesses as well as corporate structures.  I also spent some time in the corporate world but travelling to London every day was a killer.  I have undertaken multiple restoration projects which included saving a listed pub, an old church and rectory and most recently a barn. I was enjoying early retirement with my grandsons, friends and rather large garden until politics took over my life and I was elected as a County Councillor on 2nd May 2025.

Since May 2025 I’ve been working hard to help and support the residents in my area as well as working at county level to try and improve things locally.  It’s been a pleasure to meet so many amazing local people, Parish Councillors, village hall committees, Good neighbour groups all working away to help the people in their local areas.  The good work all these people do is mainly unseen and sadly often not appreciated.  Let’s hope that over the next few years we can all work together to make our amazing area even better.
